“House Your People” Rally at San Jose City Hall (Wed, August 1, 5:30 pm)

From the Affordable Housing Network Newsletter:

STOP DISPLACEMENT!
SANCTIONED ENCAMPMENTS NOW!

Rally at City Hall 5:30 PM Wed August 1

SILICON VALLEY: HOUSE YOUR PEOPLE

Join community and faith leaders to speak out against poverty and homelessness in the Capital of Silicon Valley, the richest place in the entire world. The tech companies that recently received tens of billions of dollars in tax breaks are not doing their share to solve the housing crisis that they themselves created. Our elected officials are adopting policies like the Google development, that will actually displace more people and create more homelessness instead of less.

Sweeping homeless people from place to place is not the answer.

Silicon Valley needs more housing, more safe parks, and safe and clean sanctioned encampments for the homeless NOW!
